Entry: 8th of July appeared to be an interesting day.
We have been still continuing excavation of the U. 19390 within the space 470. Except for pulling out additional 980 liters of the deposit we recognized a different layer below the investigated room infill. It is more orange in colour and more greasy at a first sight. Beyond above mentioned feature we recorded a top of probable partition wall oriented NS. Taking into consideration revealed wall we may say that possible arrangement of the space might be analogous to the room evidenced by Mellaart in level VII, with special regards to room’s internal division.
Additionally we have registered increased number of artefacts at the bottom of the infill including especially unbaked clay balls. However, the most astonishing material found today was a huge arouch scapula evidenced on the bed of the unit; in its central-Northern part. The quick zooarchaeological search gave us a concept that it might have been a tool used as a modern shovel, due to visible marks and traces of usage on the bone.

During the 4th day of excavation of the unit 19390 I have been wondering how the room infill was deposited and why. In my opinion it seems that mentioned by me many times before a firm and strong texture of the fill is caused by the high density/concentration of the building materials (such as bricks and mortars). However, it was difficult to recognize particular fragments of bricks and their rectangular shapes (corners and so on) during exploration of the deposit. The observation may put a light on the case of deliberate deposition of the building material, that seems to have been smashed after dumping within an open space. It is highly possible that there was also water used to bond diverse sort of dumped material. Therefore it is difficult to distinguish particular type of well-mixed components. Visible cracks and curved positions of the walls may indicate that there were events occurred that caused a demolition.
Consequently, described room fill might be considered as a deliberately dumped deposit set down probably in order to stabilize the neighboring as well as subsequent structures. The evidence of deliberate dumping, comprised with specific elements is significant taking into account the commonest midden deposits which are completely different than described unit 19390.
