Entry: We (SO and I) continued cleaning the top layer to reveal the walls in the southern and western sides of building 105. We were more interested in the western wall since we were not sure what was going on there. SO was able to find the walls; moreover she found the corner between the southern wall and the western wall. This gave us a reason to begin removing the fill from the entire southern section of the building 105. We noticed a layer of ash in the profile about 20-25 cm deep and made a choice to dig until at that point. Although we did not manage to finish this unit (17258), we did encounter numerous special finds such as ground stones, stone balls, worked ceramics, pottery stands, etc.

The most impressive find of the day was a beatifully painted, intact ceramic lid. The first ever in Catalhoyuk.
