Entry: Nice last work day of the week which we used to continue things we started yesterday.

KTX removed wall F.2408 down to the second lowest brick layer, taking samples and exposing the brick work and documented it in a photo.

JHB removed another quarter of buttress F.5052, finding a piece of burnt clay that looks a bit like a Backgammon piece.

GWN cut back the top layer of buttress F.5053/5054 to nearly the wall and then started going down to expose another layer of brick in plan view.

PTW continued drawing the western section in B.107, while DLG removed more of the room fill layer 17262.

In southern Building 105, SO and EUR removed nearly the entire room fill layer 17265 and cleaned the walls on this level. The doorway between walls F.3341 (SE) and F.3364 (SW) is filled with very homogenous fill without the many inclusions found in “normal” room fill; unfortunately the plaster of the two walls seem patchy around the gap, maybe it will be better further down.

In the northern part of the room, FKJ and CMF started removing room fill layer 17263 from the south, exposing the two mud brick patches we saw yesterday. This turned out to be tricky in some parts, as the room fill also contains a lot of building material rubble. They also found two pot stands, one of them complete. The dark semi-circle in front of F.3353 turned out not to be a pit, but just a very thin fill lense blurred by rodent activity.
