Excavation Diary Entry

Entry: Not much happening today at the building 105. We excavated (U. 18370) slow to preserve as much as possible from the 'collapse' in the central space of the building. We did take two-three sets of photos for documentation. In the NW corner, CMF noticed a fired red plaster feature, not in-situ, but laying with the plaster up. It was semi-circular in section. We did not remove it; we took photos and decided to remove it tomorrow.

The northern buttress again became a problem. We were not able to find a regular wall - black mudbricks, white mortar. Instead there were patches of red "bricks=clay" and lines of mortar and black brick running vertically and diagonally.
