| Entry: | A lot of people away at the moment. Yesterday, after a spot of shoveling for Craig, I slotted in where Nurcan has been working on the south side of Building 2. She has been dealing with walls and most recently with infýll betweeen walls. Ran into a small problem straight away in that I couldn’t locate any paperwork of her’s relating to the infill, although I could see from the register that she has taken out one number for infill. So I took out my own numbers for the infills I could see; (4432) and (4433). I will have to co-ordinate with Nurcan when she gets back. I have partially excavated (4433) down to a level just below the top of the wall immediately to the north ( don’t know if that has a number yet ). I won’t take it down any further at present since this will just lead to more rapid erosion of the walls. I’m also not certain at present how far (4433) continues to the west. (4433) at first looked like it was up against (4432) - but on excavation it looks like (4433) was lying against the wall underneath (4432) and maybe only fractionally lipping against (4432). I am now excavating (4432).
This is the first real excavation I’ve done for a few weeks - I’ve either been shifting backfill, planning, elevation drawing or helping Jez whack walls down. . .Entered By: Richard Turnbull |
