| Entry: | I began to take down the infill between wall 401 and the west wall of shrine 10. On excavation this turned out to be two fills, so 4351 was split into 4340 and 4321. The former was a lighter mixed more sandy fill which sloped downwards to the south and its base was parallel to the base of wall 401. The underlying fill was much darker and more clayey. A semi-circular cut in wall 401 turned out to be a cut for an oven which I will excavate and record tomorrow.Entered By: Lucy Hawkes |
