Entry: It appears that the oven layers were sealed by a layer of plaster which could be floor, especially as the burnt layers lie one brick above the base of wall 401. The plaster then lips up onto the wall and forms a possible plastered niche. This oven cannot be level 7 as the level 7 wall directly below and to the east would have prevented sufficient access to the oven, therefore it must belong to an earlier phase, possibly to level 6. The layer of fill under 4340, (4321) runs under the wall (401) and is probably the equivalent of the layer under 4190 in space 159 and space 160.Entered By: Lucy Hawkes
