| Entry: | On excavating more of 4190 in what was space 160 I realised that wall 401 steps down so that the base is lower at the southern end. Fill 4321 had been cut into on the eastern side of wall 401 in order to insert the extra layer of brick and mortar at this end. Then unstructured brick like material was packed up against the west edge of the wall at this southern end in a hollow where 4321 slopes down quite dramatically.Entered By: Lucy Hawkes |
