| Entry: | We might actually complete our checklist after all! Things I didn't believe would happen:
-excavation of both bins f.7182 and f.7198. Laura just finished taking out the gallons of barley from f. 7182, and Alice will finish taking it from f. 7198. This will, of course, be paused briefly for the conservation team to repair some damage suffered by poor box f. 7198 this afternoon.
-excavation of floor f.7199. Because Sean came up to help us today, I was able to excavate both the plaster layer u. 30838 and u. 30839! The layers both had massive amounts of barley, which was exciting to see because it suggests that space 521 and space 493 (aka the Barley Space) were related at some point in time.
-excavation of room fill u. 30844. Currently in progress and going smoothly thanks to Mateusz's expertise and serious help from some strong and powerful lab people!
-cleaning and planning. I knew this would happen-- that it had to happen-- but it seemed impossibly overwhelming until I realized there are people with the ability to georeference 3D models even if Maurizio and Nico leave. It means I can definitely make my final plan digitally, which is absolutely fantastic! Time-saving and accurate. Plus, we actually may finish in time for the 3D Duke team to help us make our model, which is even better! The model they made today was really great!
I'm feeling like everything is manageable in the last three days I have on site.
