Excavation Diary Entry

Entry: Today was the first day of actual excavation. I worked with PAB on unit 31112 in building 107. It's an interesting area because of the relations this unit has with the wall F 3344 (abuts it), with the buttre F 3356 and the buttre 3355 (just above them). The relation between the two buttres is also something quite useful for a better understanding of construction's processes of this area.
I should add that performing a section is very new to me as I'm used to excavate in sites where we don't have walls or with just very tiny traces of it. So I'm very glad about it!
I'm also glad about the worked antler Jason found as I can't wait to study it ( but I'm also enjoying so much about being part of the field team so I can see the reality of the digging process and how wonderful the West Mound team is!)
Finally, I would like to add that filling the Unit sheet today have been really instructive for me as I have so much to learn about English archaeological lexical.
Thanks for reading this!
