| Entry: | After the three day break of the Bayram work continued at the point we stopped. However NMR started to work on another unite while I stayed with unit 17247. I continued leveling down the unit to an arbitrary drawn layer. A spot with burned grains have been located in the interfill (unit 31124) between unit 17247 and feature 5074. Additionally the profiles of the unit were corrected. At the end of the day JMR decided to extend the unit to the east. That is why I started to deconstruct the left brickwall piece standing at the east edge of unit 17247, north of building 98. Even though this part is still counted to feature 2429 (like unit 17247) its real connections will hopefully be clearer after this step.
During the first deconstructions little amounts of (probably) human remains were revealed inside the wall. They were mixed with animal remains (one sheep tooth?) and some shell fragments. |
