Entry: | I started the day by taking measures and sketching the newly opened unit 31223. While trying to verify a thin layer of fill between the walls of building 105 and 106 by cutting a small section, we found that the limited exposed area is confused, as there is no clear division between the two walls visible. Later, I went to the nortern wall of building 105, where it seems as if the walls F.5051 and F.3311 are divided by a clearly distinguishable vertical plaster layer. Unfortunately, I had to spend a lot of time cleaning the area around the attempted section, as there is a very dried out wall close to it, which causes a lot of dust. When I finally got to work on the wall, it was not long until I found out, that the plaster stops after a few centimeters. Because of further cleaning efforts it took until the end of the workday to finish the section, fotograph and measure it. The outcome suggests that there was a double wall beneath the walls F.3311 and F.5051, which would confirm the data from the other walls investigated up to now. |
