Entry: My first day back on site after my breakat Antalya. Nobody had done anything in building 18 which is a relief in some respects. Found my first ever burial F.493 a neonate in the south-east corner. It appears to have been buried at the time when the south-western oven F.472 was in use and there wasn’t an oven in the south-central area. Found traces of an earlier oven in the south-central area which has been fairly comprehenively demolished. The oven therefore seems to start off in the south-central area then move to the south-west before returning to the south-cetral area which has interesting paralells for building 2 although there are fewer ovens and the movements aren’t quite the same. The burial doesn’t seem to relate to any features in particular and just seems to be placed generally in a ‘dirty’ / ‘domestic’ area.Entered By: Craig Cessford
