| Entry: | Things changes concerning burial 7508. Today we managed to do 2 3D-models, exposing the ribcage and removing and recording several bones from the upper body. Working tightly with the human remains team does speed up the process. Hadn't this person been in a sort of upright position, we probably would be finished with the burial by now. But on the other hand by doing the 3D-models in sections we will be able to get a nice three dimensional sequence of how this person was interred as well as excavated.
The violence theory from yesterday starts to faulter from seeing parts of the spine today, it doesn't look damaged. But still, the burial process in Catal is something different. But I think that if we imagine that the smell of dead bodies isn't something to fear or flee from, the burials in Catal maybe aren't so strange after all. |
