Entry: | This week something has changed in B.129 (if I may still use this number). Agata, Rifah and me have eventually said goodbye to our later B.129 and we are currently working on giving new life to the older phase of our building. During this week, this building has slowly taken shape: initially, through the section drawn by Arek in the neighbouring B.77 (where an oven is also visible); during the later days, through our own trowels, emerging underneath the later walls we were excavating (F.7558, F.7559, F.7560). The heavily burnt walls belonging to the earlier phase of our building are now clearly visible on the northern, western and southern ends of our building. Now our aim lies in clear spatial coordinates: all we have to do now is embracing our mattocks and go through a massive infill layer (U.21193).
Today we have started this hard task, which has given us the first satisfaction: we have most probably found a stalactite. Susan has told us that she found another piece of this curious mineral in a burial in B.77. Now is time for having some relax and saving energy. The next one is going to be our last week, and most probably the hardest one. |
