Entry: With only five more work days left, it's hard to imagine getting to a really fulfilling stage with building 96. Today, I discovered that there are more than two floor layers left after all-- and despite our best attempts to group them, they evade grouping in part out of fear of missing a burial cut and in part because they are quite difficult to follow, even when trying to reveal a single layer. So, u. 20877-- which we thought would be a makeup layer covering all of space 370-- turns out to lip up to platform f. 3507 just as all previous floors have done. And we have yet to really tuck into platform f. 3507 in any substantial way; we've really just been nibbling at the corners.

Hoping that tomorrow I'll finish with this surprise makeup layer and get to a plaster layer that allows me to finally scratch at the top of platform f. 3507… Then remove that on Thursday/Saturday, and hopefully what's below it on Sunday/Monday. I don't think we'll get to room fill-- an idea we have been floating optimistically the last few days-- but we may at least get to a point where the end of B. 96 is in sight!

… And what about those two exposed skeletons in platform f. 3508…? All of this: classic end of season worries!
