| Entry: | Work progressed well today. As our unit sheets are now with Serap and Gavin at the end of each day I am not able to give the unit numbers for each operation, but they can easily be checked against plans and other records in the files. Serap continued digging ashy layers in the west of Space 70, Gavin dug more of the upper phase of FI 11 which comes down very nicely onto the lower phase with quite high-standing wall. Mehmet dug more of the deposits in and around the access between Spaces 70 and 71, revealing more of the curving brick feature which seems to have a patch of burnt floor attached to it. Engin dug more burnt collapse with chunks of wood and curving plaster. Nurcan reached the floor in Space 110 and I exposed upper floors in Space 111 and in the adjacent parts of Space 71. This afternoon the specialists came round to tour and ask questions. Not sure if we are keeping them happy.Entered By: Roger Matthews |
