| Entry: | The first day of our excavation of TPC’s trench 3 entailed removing the geotextile and subsequently cleaning the trench. This was mostly completed before lunch time on Sunday, and the remainder of the day was spent placing targets for the total station. Regrettably, I was ill in the following two days, and missed the commencement of excavation in trench 3. While I was away, Chelsea and Jana began surface scraping some of the walls (of which there are many, and in odd places). When I was able to return to work on Wednesday, I began cleaning and excavating space 521. There was a discovery initially thought to be a wall and its associated mortar, but this proved to be a rodent intrusion (something of a relief, given the number of existing walls). |
