Entry: | New people/New strategies
Today Cristina Belmonte was transfered from the South Area to the building 131!
She is exceptionally energetic and charismatic person, not to mention a veteran contract archaeologist that has the decisivness and boldness we as a team were lacking. It was a wise decision to let her steer the course and hasten the progress in building 131 (personally would have loved that it was so from the start). Our new strategy was somewhat brutal but lack of time and the pressure were dictating our tempo. This by no means affected the archaeology - methodology was somewhat different but the change of approach yielded results, especially in resolving the matrix issues with construction phase of building 131. Sectioning the building in half in order to determine the depth of floors of the building below (139) proved quite a task but also gave us an incentive that after all the hard work we will have some more time to comfortably expose the building below.
It should be noted that the workmen helping us were AMAZING. This is Ramazan time and most of them were fasting - we imposed upon them very heavy pressure and extremely hard work and they braved it with a smile. |
