Excavation Diary Entry

Entry: This is a very brief entry, giving a quick run-down on what I have been doing on site, since returning from an r and r trip to Cyprus. I am now in Building 23, Space 178, with Richard, Adnan, and Nurcan. They are all huddled together around the southern end of the area, whilst I have loads of space to the north. They are having to deal with complex stratigraphy, but things are going fairly smoothly at my end - so far. At some point, we shall meet. There is a potential for much confusion, with four people working so closely, whilst dealing with individual projects. We have just had an on-site meeting, to try and formulate a strategy, enabling us to keep on top of the matrix, and develop an overall understanding, of what is potentially a very complicated area. The best chance of keeping everything rolling along smoothly, is to keep our lines of communication open. Hopefully, that is something we can manage. In my particular spot, I have just removed two wall collapse/demolition deposits - (4499) and (4501), followed by floor layers - (4500), (4502), (4503), and now (4504). My aim is to reach a level where myself and Richard can work in conjunction with each other, keeping the matrix running smoothly. Should be there, hopefully, within the next couple of working days. That’s it. Time for tea.Entered By: Jez Taylor
