Entry: | Co-author: Beliz Tecirli. Today we continued cleaning the floor surface (U. 10801) and defining the constructional features which appear on it. More particularly, we tried to interpret the plaster traces in the north east corner of the space 112 (U. 10804). They may be mixed deposits in a cut, but this interpretation remains not safe. We also partially excavated the fill (U. 10802) of the cut (U. 10803) at the south east part of the excavated area. The cut is defined at the east by the east wall of the space (F. 259), but its limmits on the other sides were diffuse. The definition of the paticular cut was based mainly on the section between the south, already excavated part of the space and the northern one. The consistency of the fill was firm and its texture was of clay and plaster. A cluster of two stones and a clay ball was found in the the fill (U.10805) and close to them, another object, possibly a stone is discerned inside the supportive east wall. As Shahina has suggested, the feature under discussion may be a post retrieval cut, created at the mid of occupation of the space. The post may have been removed in order to construct a supportive wall to the already existing east wall. The excavation of the cut and its filling will continue the next days. We also defined anoher cut next to the west wall (F. 267), which we also excavate in the next days. Finally a bone needle was found on the floor surface (U. 10801).Entered By: Constantinos Koutsadelis, Beliz T. |
