| Entry: | Heavy traffic in space 100 today. It was a zoo, almost a dozen people at once. It was difficult to think. Fortunately, a lot of them really helped us along; the burial in the south wall is being lifted, the horn cores (7920) are being consolidated, the floors and surfaces are becoming increasingly clear. SHL cleared the horns today, DGN and SLS worked on 7931 (under which DGN located the beginnings of an oven or a hearth, indicated by lots of burnt material and a retaining wall or rim, yesterday), and I mostly planned and began unit 7921, in the west part of the space. We did get a chance to clean the whole space for the priority tour, to step back and take in all the features we had uncovered in the past few days. The order of things is beginning to become more clear, and as soon as we can remove the rest of the fill in the SE corner, we should be good. We also got a few overview photos from Lizzie which should help with its interpretation. Dragona, who came by as part of the priority tour, made a useful suggestion for the irregular platform-type feature, backed by bricks, that I had tried to define with 7942 yesterday: apparantly, it looks a lot like a ladder/stair support that BACH had found in their space a few years back.Entered By: UK |
