Entry: We lifted today more of the building 47 walls. 10232 more precisely. No big surprises there. As we remove the lowest grey bricks the earlier building emerges. We were able to identify red clay walls and the infill between them. It still seams that the surfaces (floors) uder floor 10246 are conected with building 47. So seems to be the case of the two platforms (north and south of the space 237) suported by two retaining walls.
So far so good!

Meanwhile we started excavating the infill of space 227 We came onto a very clearly visible plaster floor which we exposed in the north-eastern corner of the room. It prooved to be a sort of raised platform sloping down towards south at an angle of 30 degrees.
The fill of he space 10205 contained a large number of large bones SPREAD ALL OVER THE FILL, up and down and south and north. There was a higher concentration of bones in the north-western corner of the ecavated area.
Here comes an odd situation: as soon as we identified the concentration of bones I went personaly down and told the fauna specialist (Riisa, I think), than we waited for her for one hour, then she came up and lifted all the bones at once. We subsequently asked her to come twice and she did the same. After that everyone was going on about the opportunity that we missed by digging the b***** bones out!?!?!?

Anyway! The fill contained two human femurs which were again just mixed in the earth, not even one next to the other.

Because of all the finds in the fill, and because of the way they were spred all over, I think that the fill is the result of redeposited material rather than colapse. The bone themselves might be the result of a feast (because there are so many of them) but I think they (at least partly) came in with the earth 10205 when redeposited. Or maybe they were cannibals and had some human femural meat for dinner.Entered By: Doru Bogdan
