Entry: | Things are slowly progressing – yesterday we planned the eastern wall (F1802), found a late pit (F1803) cutting it towards its northern edge. A long day of planning. But today we had the joy of removing the wall. Beneath this wall was an ashy fill that was again planned and removed. So, I guess I can summarize the situation of building 46, space 233. A later building built on top of an earlier building, and the people who had built this building must have had some memory of the earlier house… we never got to it’s northern wall – it was probably eroded away. As was its floors, and everything else. It’s a pity we are so close to the surface… but you have to start digging somewhere...Entered By: Burcu Tung |
