Entry: In the last days work continued in space 93 where we emptied by now three of the 4 bins. Bin 2002 contained large quantities of seeds, almonds and other organic material, all excavated by Amy. Because several points of high concentration of seeds were identified (pockets) we gave them separate unit numbers (11900, 11903, 11906, 11908, 11910). Floor and wall of bin are unit numbers 11918 and 11919. The second bin fully excavated by now is feture 2004 which contained a rich deposit of peas (11911) a cluster of bones (11923) some of which were set directly against the walls of the bin. Upper fill 11904 contained a big piece of a stalactite and one wild pig skull. Contents of both bins were sent don for flotation entirely.
Bin 2003 was emptied as well but it didn't have such a rich inventory. Units within 11922, 11920, 11921, 10292, 10284.
On the supposed floor of space 93 there are a lot of stones and between them Amy excavated a few pockets of seeds and organic material which got individual unit numbers (10305, 10308, 10309). The ashy layer close to the floor is number 10304.
In space 94 Mira continues the removal of 10286, colapsed wall and roof and makes funny theories about cuts and susequent phases of floors and walls, but as long as she doesn't go through features that's fine by me. It is obvious though that the whole layer 10286 is the result of one event, the collapse of the building 52 walls on the very burnt floor. The lowermost layer on the floor is number 11928, and it was allocated to differentiate between finds within fill and those placed on the floor at the moment of collapse.
As Ian was saying to me yesterday, I should very soon step in and excavate the remains of 10286 that Mira considers to be floors truncated by a cut. Taaah! SoonEntered By: Doru Bogdan
