Entry: We have continued excavating building 64 removing the room fills. Between the layers of room fill in Space 287 was a burial (f.2231/units 13119-13121) containing the disarticulated bones of limbs that must have still been fleshy when they went in since the two separate limbs were individually articulated. The floors levels in building 64 have still not been reached so we have started removing the midden layers below 13103 (space 279) since they need to be removed before we can continue with B 64. The layer we started excavating this afternoon was discrete in a cut (13127 in cut 13128) which truncated the eastern side of space 287. This deposit was not comprised of the compond layers found in 13103 and the higher midden layers but was relatively similar throughout with occasional isolated lenses. This remains me more of the redeposited midden layers that we excavated last year in a discrete pit. As we have been removing the fill, the section of the pit has shown that the position of the floor layers and addional sequence of buildings below. This means that B64 was not built on midden as we had previously suggested and the convertion of the area to midden after the disuse of Building 64 represented a significant change in the use of the area.Entered By: LY
