| Entry: | Mihriban and Turhan worked on south corner of the IST AREA. Some walls appear and there are many big bones fill of the U12454. One of the walls very well plastered but we do not sure yet how will wall continued. We talked about “why we do not work in much larger area” Catalhoyuk’s buildings are much bigger than Asikli Hoyuk which we dug hindereds of them.
We saw continuation of the buildings towards to village roads. We were thinking to reach earliest levels, but we are not in Catal for digging just one building. So, We decided to keep Building 63 this year. We planned to dig other buildings and understand external areas.
Fusun and George scraped of the area which was mentioned by Arlin Rosen as an activity area (U12456). Unit includes pottery sherds, obsidian, charcoal, and bones. However, we think that area could be not only use an activity but also mostly use for swapped area; there are small sized charcoal fragments and unburnt bones fragments together.
Heval started to dig U12467. I was planning to draw Building 63 but I needed some more points for the reliable drawing. Surveyors spent whole days for fixing some new points for our trench because there was not reliable check point in our area.
