| Entry: | Both west mound trenches now actually looking like trenches, and interesting things going on in both. Very satisfying to see them at the end of the day with neat edges and clean floors. Features are beginning to appear in Trench A, with quite a few scraps of bone (both animal and human), popping up at the south end - quite enjoyed spending the afternoon poking around there. Bones and artefacts seem to occur in clusters there, but these only started appearing towards the end of the day, so looking forward to more exploration tomorrow.
V hot today. It was good that Helen had a rest as it pretty much knocked us all for six anyway. The plan is to start tomorrow at 6am to beat the worst of the heat. Probably a good idea as knuckling down to it after lunch its particularly easy. Pot washing alter this evening. Actually quite keen to spend some quality time with our sherds…Entered By: NMS |
