Entry: CMF and EUR brushed their Building 105 for its first 3D-Scan. After this, CMF started on removing wall F.3349, which turned out to be quite disturbed, and uncovered nicely the tops of walls F.3352 and F.3350, starting from the northern part moving south. ... click here for more...

Entry: GWN worked further in his sondage. After taking out floor 18376, we saw two rectangles in the cut: a red rectangle in the west, and a dark grey rectangle in the east. Both seemed to be building material; they were rather homogeneous and we have seen both ... click here for more...

Entry: Finally excavating again. All that sitting in the office is too much. In B.107, we continued what we started. CMP drew the wall succession F.3373-3304-2426, with the fill between F.3373 and F.3304 being really clear, but F.3373 itself rather fuzzy towa... click here for more...

Entry: Today, TET, DSE and PAB worked together at removing sandbags out of Space 448 and finished towards the end of the day. The space looks quite good; we have not seen it since the end of the 2010 season. After a bit of cleaning, it will be as good as new. ... click here for more...

Entry: JHB and JMK removed the bins, which are now called F.3377, nicely sampling all the removed construction and fill. We had a discussion about whether or not this actually is a construction feature, or some unfortunate erosion/rubbish – I so far believe the ... click here for more...

Entry: GWN and CLC continued investigating feature and “burnt layer” in the phase under B.98 which now has the working title Building 125! CLC found a corner, so there really is a wall behind the buttress F.3387, of which we do not see the eastern limit. GWN fol... click here for more...

Entry: 07-08-2013 Today we began with scraping the southeast quadrant of building 98 in order to better understand whether the layer between the first floor (16977) and second floor is present. After scrape, the majority of the area appears to be the same lig... click here for more...

Entry: 11-08-2013 Today we began removing the second floor (18376). After delineating six small units in the south east quadrant of building 98, ASO and I started removing the floor by trowel. I began in 31137, stressed at first as we had no unit book to name... click here for more...

Entry: 12-08-2013 In contrast to yesterday’s exploration and discovery of a new third floor, and subsequent collection of this floor, the fill, and floor below together (18376, 31144, 31143), I today began collecting each layer separately in 31136. For the ma... click here for more...
