This is a late Roman or Byzantine burial that was cut into the Neolithic level of Catalhoyuk. The burial is located within the space 88, to the south of the main building (building 3). The burial cuts into the west wall of the room - space 88. The burial contained one glass vessel that was located next to the skull. It was on the right hand side of the skull that was placed on the right cheek. The glass flask was positioned almost under the skull.The burial is rectangular in shape. |
