Burial cut in the east-west direction (roughly) with marks of a coffin (nail and some wood remains). The skeleton was mostly displaced; ribs sticking out of the N-facing wall; large animal bone on the N-facing wall. The skeleton has subsided into the mitten so the base of the cut is not flat. It has eroded into the layer below a little in the center of the cut. There may still be some bones deeply buried. The tibia of the skeleton (F.154, unit #2245) was cut by our bulk. Roof fall makes up part of the N-facing profile (see plan 97/212).
The skeleton was generally in the fair condition, except for the skull that was crushed before excavation and broke apart when we tried to remove it in block. The skeleton shows signs of high degree of post-depositional disturbance (probably due to rodent's activity).
For detailed description of the skeleton see skeleton sheet #2245.
