Wall pillar for the screen wall. It is a square shaped and is made of several courses of brick and mortar. It original edges are not completely preserved except for the wall face which is plastered. The plaster that has been exposed (small fragments) has a uniform red color on which there was a spotted roundish shape in a darker red color - possibly a pattern. The plastered face is on the east side of the wall, i. e. it is facing the space 86. The pillar is abutting the northern interior wall (F. 160). It begins right on the line where the red coloured plastered interior all stops. The plaster is coloured in at least two nuances of red colour (lighter - majority, and dark - corner areas). In any instance this feature is most likely associated with feature 155 and possibly with a short N-S internal wall, which is next to it. It is, also, very close to the collapsed "roof" structure. |
