Articulated adult male burial cut into foundation deposits below building 1. Tightly flexed & bound with much textile strapping/tape (phytoliths found), & in my view probably not buried immediately, allowing some displacement of bones due to loss of ligaments / flesh. Crushed ribcage. Cut easily found, but may have come originally from higher level which was more similar to the grave fill (which probably derives from upper level??) & which was hacked out by mattock unit foot bones were discovered. |
