large hearth with muolded lip in space 329. The hearth was oval in shape with a moulded raised rim, the inner surface (measuring 1.14m by 0.98m) burnt with use. Two burnt surfaces were associated with the hearth as were eroded plaster surfaces (16535), (16541) and (16550).
