Kerb 3693 was very eroded because of the burning event at the end of the 1352 sequence and the time of exposure since it was first exposed some years ago.
By the time of its excavation kerb 3693 was so eroded that it was not really possible to create sequenced units. All of what remained (not much) was excavated as u. 20647.
Kerb 3693 was built on top of both plt. 3694 and plt. 3695 when plt. 3694 reached the same height then 3695. It is possible to think that kerb 3693 was built in order to maintain a separation which already existed (cf unit sheet 20647).
Kerb 3693 was in use from (at least) the last layer of 30525 in plt. 3694 and layer 30507 in plt. 3695 to the end of the sequence of the two platforms, when they both seemed to reach the same height of the kerb and maybe even slightly covering it for the last layer of arbitrary layer 20615 of plt. 3695.
However due to heavy erosion and burning it is not impossible that the kerb used to be higher and marked a separation between the two platforms at the very end of the architectural sequence. |
