This burial was defined during the excavation of burial F. 7130, when skeleton material started being uncovered in the north part of the cut. We thought that this material was actually related to a new burial fill, so we looked for the boundaries of a new cut further north to the ends of burial F. 7130. The new cut was established by recognition of a softer consistency of soil and by a difference in colour. The infill was brown and greyish brown with specs of charcoal, some rock fragments, clay aggregates and specs of plaster and make-up as inclusions. A large amount of salt inclusion was observed. The infill and the cut were highly disturbed by animal burrows. The skeleton belonged to a primary juvenile and was very fragmented but in a fair state of preservation. The cranium contained carbonized brain; a yellowish residue was verified near the hip and it was sampled for analysis by the human remains team. |
