- The burial F.7330 comprised of one flexed skeleton of juvenile (U.30190) and single skull of the second individual (U.30191). Both were located next to the northern wall (F.3626) of B.108 within the packing like roomfill (U.30189). Worth noticing is that the mentioned skull of infant was probable put or wrapped individually in the basket or textile-like material (e.g. linen bag), and added at the same time with the skeleton (U.30190). The lack of the burial cut nearby the human remains implies that the act of loading the deposit (U.30189) had been carried out simultaneously with performing funeral practice evidenced as F.7330. For this reason, the latter burial might be considered as a special foundation deposit established before performing first floor plaster within Sp.84 (B.108). In the presented light, interesting would be to expand relationship between described above burial with others e.g. F.7331 uncovered also in 2014 and located within central-north part of the Sp.490, as well as with: F.3644, F.3622 that were placed toward the SE direction and excavated in 2012. During the excavation it appeared that the skeleton (U.30190) might have been placed in the separate spot just to provide decomposition of the tissues/flesh. The latter is evidenced by the absence of particular parts of the body, as well as clearly marked by tightly flex position. The described practice might have been involved with the desire of placing the particular individual within the building (B.108). However, the long-lasting construction phase of the edifice (that was related with performing deep foundation trenches and setting all walls within the cuts) might forced to postpone the funeral practice until accomplishment of the structure. That circumstances influenced on the dead body effecting the decomposition. |
