Plaster corner feature in S-W corner of space 158. The feature appears to be lying on white plaster floor (#8165). At some point the dwellers probably decided to make a pedestal for some reason, so they filled the corner with that usual packing material, making it flat after plastering the lip up against the rim. So, it's the thin replastering layer that made the lip. Plaster is a bit thicker in that southernmost part; it's present on the wall as well. Maybe they planned that corner for an oven later on (F.642). The feature is round in shape. |
