Midden sequence Sp.226 is part of Sp.279 that comprises multiple sub phases associated with buildings to north and south. Prior to the introduction of the Hodder phases Sp.226 had been allocated to Mellaart Level V-III very crudely based on comparison of the material assemblage but Mellaart levels of buildings/spaces NOT excavated in the 1960s have been removed to allow an independent assessment on phasing. NB/Work in progress. Correct as of date entered or modified.

Midden area between zones of buildings. Bounded by B.47 to north dated to IV - III and B.45 to south dated to V - IV.
