Prior to the introduction of the Hodder phases Sp.260 had been allocated to Mellaart Level VI and a review of the phasing (S.Farid Archive Report 2008) had placed the phasing as more akin to Level IV. but Mellaart levels of buildings/spaces NOT excavated in the 1960s have been removed to allow an independent assessment on phasing.
