Additional Phase Info: Southern group of related buildings based on combination of stratigraphy (abutting relationships) and lithics assemblage dominated by Nenezi dag pressure flaked blades Midden sequence Sp.271 comprises multiple sub phases associated with buildings to north and south. Prior to the introduction of the Hodder phases Sp.271 had been allocated to Mellaart Level VI-III very crudely based on comparison of the material assemblage but Mellaart levels of buildings/spaces NOT excavated in the 1960s have been removed to allow an independent assessment on phasing.
