Description:
Corresponds to Mellaart's building E.IX.31,below the 'Red Shrine'. This feature was exposed in 1964 and recorded on a plan of Level IX. Emptied and sampled by the current team in 2016/17 for the dating project.

Building stack was presumably extant when the B43 stack began (with B.161/2) since the whole sequence doglegs around the southwest corner.
