Description: Horns

Discussion: This is a pile of burnt cattle horn cores and building material... I cannot read the rest of this part that Rissa and Adam wrote.

Two skulls and a number of horns. My impression is that they were placed there at the end of the fire after the house collapse. The 'rights' might have been pulled out of the bench 2021. (Doru-30/07/05)

The right horn core of x12 removed by KP, 26/07/05 (right horn core); frontal of x13 and left horn core undercut x12 (left horn core). X12 was lifted by ASW, 27/07/05, during morning. X14 (left horn core) was lifted by ASW during afternoon, followed by proximal portions of x15 (flattened/crushed left horn core). It has become apparent that the left half of x13 rests on the left half of cluster 19955 (Bucranium, burnt with possible thin layer of plaster). Distal left horn core of x15 (which was highly fragmented) undercuts brick and will be lifted 28/07/05. No plaster coatings noted on either x12, x13, x14 or x15.

X13 and the distal remains of x15 lifted during morning, exposing the left frontal and left horn core of 11963, x1 and a plaster bench that underlies the bucranium. Some, of what is thought to be the occipital/temporal (base) portions of x12 remain in place above 11963 x1 as their removal would likely affect the integrity of the large bucranium. Photos were taken in the morning, prior to the removal of x13 and x15 remains. (ASW-28/07/05)
