Discussion: LDH writes;
This is a partially articulated skeleton found in the eastern platform under the scattered remains of sk 10476. The pelvis and lumbar vertibra 5 were found first. The right hand was located at the anterior + lateral areas of the right hipbone. An ilium of the juvenile 10476 was adjacent to L5. The left lower arm and hand were just north of the pelvis. The right and left feet were above the left wrist and hand. The individual was probably lying on its back in a flexed position with the legs to the left of the body. The head would have been oriented to the west. The E-W burial cut in the platform appears to be associated with 10499. The individual may have been truncated with the NS burial cut in which 10478 skeleton was scattered. A cache of 3 stone artifacts and 3 bone tools was found just south of the right hipbone. Some bones of this individual were found scattered with the bones of 10476.

GSC writes;
This unit represents the partially articulated remains of an adult male, found within the disturbed grave [10468] F1515. The grave has been cut at a later date, indeed a later phase within the construction of B42, by another grave cut [10459] F1512. Due to this heavy truncation only a very small percentage of articulation remained. Although the cut of the later grave was not easy to determine during excavation, the abrupt start of articulation to the eastern end of [10468] provide a sound suggestion to the level of truncation.
Althoughheavily truncated, this grave still retains some interesting and unusual attributes. Several adult vertibrae were found within the highly disturbed fill of [10459] (10475) and these can be linked to the heavy truncation. However several bones were not recovered, that despite the disturbance, should have been found and leaves question marks over their whereabouts and may point towards some strange deposition for instance one radius, the left, is the only representation of long bone to be found to be adult. Given the location of pelvis down in terms of truncation where are they? And if they were truncated, why did they not appear with the disarticulated remains found within fill (10475). Also no skull remains and again no cranium fragments were recovered from the backfilled disturbance. Bizarely, one tooth associated with this skeleton was found, why one tooth, but no skull??!
Upon removing the skeleton, a highly important tool cache was uncovered associated with the burial, located just to the SE of the pelvis. 3 stone (obsidian + flint) tools were diplayed in an upstanding fan formation, overlapping one another. All tools were NOT locally made, most likely orriginating from southern Cappadoccia and represent a highly unusual deposition. More details are given below. Once removed the excavator (me0 found 3 fragmentary bone tools, thought to be scrapers of some form. These have since been categorised as 2 antler tools, likely to have been used for pressure flaking. Due to their unusual location and especially their upright position, it is suggested that these tools were deposited within the grave in a bag/ pouch of some kind, although no evidence remains of this.

11315 x6 = long obsidian prismatic blade
x7 = long light brown limnoquartile (flint) end scraper on prismatic blade
x8 = large obsidian side scraper
all non locally made and different traditions.
