Unit 10665
Category: Cluster dug in 2004
Area: South
Interpretive Categories: pot scatter in rubbish dump
Data Category Information: Location: cut; Description: scoop; Material: pottery; Deposition: primary deposition
Discussion: Pot is lying upside down right next to the hearth, does not appear to have been placed, l;ooks more like a dropped pot at the moment - has a big block of mortar next to it, may have damaged it? Many hearth layers have been removed from the neighbouring nearth, so pot would have been repeatedly heated post burial - unless it is contemporary with a higher layer, which seems likely as the pot was partially over the hearth wall as it is at the moment
