Unit description: This is a medium midden unit made up of all dry sieved material. The bone is a mixture of small fragments and larger chunks of bone. Species include cattle, sheep/goat, horse ,pig and dog. Body part distribution includes long bones but there are a substancial amount of teeth and shaft and rib fragments. There is a small amount (less than 10%) of burning and gnawing and there also signs of digestion with sheep phalanges appearing digested. The surface condition is overall fairly normal. Dog remains include a metacarpal and mandible, pig consisted of teeth, an horse was made up of teeth.
