Unit 11649
Category: Skeleton dug in 2005
Area: South
Interpretive Categories: burial
Data Category Information: none
Discussion: The skeleton is part of a number of skeletons found in F.1320, the eastern platform of building 44. The individual had been partially disturbed during neolithic times. Several disarticulated bnoes were found distributed throughout the burial pit. It is highly likely that some of the disarticulated bones belong to this individual. Several individuals have been identified in the burial pit, including sk. 11644 (articulated foot) sk 11647 (articulated skeleton) and 11494 (articulated skeleton). Given the disturbance to sk 11649, it is reasonable to suggest it was one of the earlier skeletons in the pit relative to these other individuals
