Unit 13008
Category: Layer dug in 2006
Area: TP
Interpretive Categories: bricks wall
Data Category Information: In Situ: in situ; Location: wall/blocking; Material: brick&mortar
Dimensions: 0.80 x 0.60 x 0.16
Discussion: This is a fragment of partly N-S oriented wall placed on top of yet unspecified another, older wall. It consisted of two courses of mudbricks. Their measurements are following as seen from the west:
upper course - 0.80 x 0.20 x 0.10/0.80 x 0.42 x 0.08/ 0.20 x 0.40 x 0.07;
bottom course - 0.70 x 0.36 x 0.10/0.70 x 0.48 x 0.10/0.40 x 0.20 x 0.10 m.
This wall was considerably destroyed by later cuts. It seems to be an element of the double wall recorded as unit 11503, and both are constructional elements of the building which can tentatively be dated to Level II according to the Mellaart scheme.
