Discussion: A clearly visible and defined deposit of silty clay, mixed with baked clay and quite fragmentary pot sherds. Seems to have been used as a make-up deposit- perhaps to help support a plaster surface (since truncated).
Deposit contained a concentration of baked clay fragments and pot - see photo.
Seems to be contained within a shallow scoop- assigned a cut number= 13248.
13247 also produced a fragment of a clay ball.
