There was probably a floor abutting the basin and below phytolith layer (need Wendy Matthews to check for floors below phytolith layer 14072).

Post-excavation note: basin entirely made up of plaster edged by plaster rim 0.05 -> 0.03m depth, central area only a few millimeters in depth.
